Animal Rescue DAO utilizes blockchain technology to democratically fund animal rescue initiatives all over the world.

Our core values are long-term sustainability and decentralized giving. Therefore we felt the need to innovate and improve upon current fundraising models that place constant pressure on an overburdened donor pool.

Two Treasuries

Animal Rescue DAO separates community assets into two smart contracts:

  • Community Grants Account: An account that houses and distributes funds set aside for partnering organizations

  • Growth Fund: A smart contract that securely stores assets and funds controlled and invested by the community

60% of all funds raised by, donated to, or generated by the DAO are deposited into the Community Grants Account for direct dispersement to rescue initiatives.

The other 40% are deposited into the Growth Fund to develop an actively-managed crypto fund that sustains the Community Grants Account without need for future fundraising.

Over time our community's Growth Fund will sustain the Community Grants Account with its dividends alone. This is the promise of sustainable giving: long-term charitable giving without total donor reliance.
