Token sale models have evolved past the Initial Coin Offering (ICO) to the modern day of Initial Farm Offerings (IFO), Initial Game Offerings (IGO), Initial Decentralized Exchange Offerings (IDO), and many more three letter acronyms. It seems every asset can be initially offered, but what if the asset your community owns is the community itself?
Animal Rescue DAO is offering DAO membership to the public in the form of Rescue Coin, i.e., owning Rescue Coin makes one a DAO member. Our Initial Community Offering is Monday, February 28th.
The instructions listed below take you through all the steps necessary to participate in Animal Rescue DAO's ICO. If the walkthrough doesn't answer your questions, please don't hesitate to reach the team at admin@animalrescuedao.org.

Donors can exchange ALGO for RSCU. To purchase tokens for your wallet, navigate to a centralized exchange like Coinbase and swap fiat currency for ALGO, and transfer those funds to your Algorand wallet.
DO NOT SEND THESE FUNDS DIRECTLY TO ANIMAL RESCUE DAO. Any funds sent to the DAO directly from an exchange will be counted as a donation. This is because RSCU doesn't yet exist on a centralized exchange, therefore we cannot transfer RSCU to your Coinbase account.
The DAO will sell 10% of Rescue Coin's total supply during the ICO. To exchange funds for RSCU, send tokens from your Algorand wallet to the official DAO multisig wallet, the address for which will be posted on our website beginning February 28th. In return, the DAO will send RSCU to your Algorand wallet.
Funds raised in the ICO are split in three parts:
60% goes directly to organizations currently involved in animal rescue and/or wildlife rehabilitation
20% will be invested as the beginnings of the sustaining donation fund
20% will be deposited in the RSCU liquidity pool when we launch our official IDO
And that's it! RSCU holders will remain DAO members as long as they hold RSCU in their Algorand wallet.
